Data Coordinating Center

Westat has proudly served as the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Domestic & International Pediatric & Maternal HIV & Other High-Priority Infectious Diseases Clinical Studies Network (NICHD Network) since 1987. Westat is the contractor to the Maternal and Pediatric Infectious Disease Branch (MPIDB) of NICHD.

Within NICHD’s mission, the goal of the DCC is to investigate treatment, prevention, diagnosis, epidemiology, and natural history of HIV infection and disease and its infectious and non-infectious complications in pediatric, adolescent, and maternal patient populations, as well as other high priority infectious diseases affecting children and pregnant women.

Purpose of the Website

The purpose of the Westat-NICHD DCC website is to enhance communication between Westat, NICHD, and the Network clinical sites. The website will support efficient dissemination of pertinent materials, such as protocol and site-specific information, budget worksheets, site performance assessments, laboratory oversight documents, pharmacy guidelines, and Westat procedures and training materials.
